Dec 22, 2025
Where Korean Web3 Builders Met the Global Ecosystem
The first Korean edition of the Scroll & Friends Community Event took place in Seoul.
Co-hosted by Scroll, Rocketpunch, and Narrative, the event brought together a curated group of founders, investors, and builders shaping Korea’s rapidly growing Web3 ecosystem.
Throughout the evening, participants explored how Scroll is opening new possibilities for Ethereum through ZK (Zero-Knowledge)–based infrastructure, while also discussing how Korean founders can create opportunities within the broader wave of global Web3 innovation. Talks and community networking sessions created space for both technical discussion and meaningful connections.
Scroll is a zkEVM-based Layer 2 blockchain designed to scale Ethereum, focusing on stability and real-world usability to expand the global Web3 ecosystem.

Panel Talk: How DeFi-Native Finance Is Taking Shape
The panel discussion, titled “The Rise of DeFi-Native Neobanks,” explored the emergence of DeFi-native financial services and the role of infrastructure in enabling them.
Jane Lee (Scroll), Kelvin Koo (Narrative), and Ingi Kim (Narrative) discussed how DeFi-based financial products differ structurally from traditional finance and fintech, and how these services are designed on top of reliable blockchain infrastructure.

Community Networking: Where Connections Continue
Following the official sessions, community networking sponsored by Rocketpunch brought participants together for open conversations.
Korean Web3 builders, founders, and investors exchanged experiences and interests, while exploring potential collaborations beyond the event.
Scroll & Friends Community Event aims to go beyond presentations, creating touchpoints where global projects can engage with the Korean community and where personal connections can evolve into real experiments and initiatives.
